If you love Aspen Trees and the High Country close to the National Forest then you are going to love this unique property. This is Spanish Peaks Ranch Estates Lot 30 and instead of having access at the main entrance of the ranch this is one of the outlying parcels that actually has access from the road going past the Cordova Arch and to Cuchara Pass. You actually have to go through the San Isabel National Forest to get to this property. It doesn’t adjoin the National Forest but its not far from it.

There is an improved trail coming off of the County Road that takes you down to a very private camping site that is out on a point. The property drops off in three directions opening up to spectacular views looking to the east, south and west with vistas even down into New Mexico.

The tree coverage on the property is mostly Aspen, Spruce, Douglas Fir and Ponderosa Pine. The elevation of the property is about 10,200 and access to the property is going to be seasonal. The County Roads are not plowed either from the Huerfano County side near Cordova Pass or the Las Animas County Side past the main entrance to Spanish Peaks Ranch Estates. The current owners have snowshoe’ed in quite a few times. The snow pack is not too bad but since the roads aren’t currently plowed or maintained during the winter you just couldn’t drive in. But I would bet you could certainly use a snowmobile to get there. That would be cool.

There is a pretty new really nice 2006 26ft, with slide out and solar panel, Camper that comes with the purchase of the property.
